Privacy policy

What we collect

  • Event and wedding requests. Your name, email, optional phone, what you're planning, guest count, approximate date, budget and notes.
  • Newsletter. Your email address, where you signed up, and when you confirmed or unsubscribed.
  • Event submissions and creator posts. The details you submit and your email address, so we can verify and contact you.
  • Outbound clicks. When you click a booking link we record which link and which page it was on. We don't store your IP address or browser details with it.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic. It sets cookies and receives your IP address, which Google processes under its own policy.

How we share it

If you send an event or wedding request, we share it with up to 3 matched partners (venues, drivers, tasting hosts or planners) so they can contact you. You agree to this with the checkbox on the form. Partners may pay us for these introductions. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't add request forms to our mailing list.

We use service providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email) and Anthropic (writing assistance for our editors; your personal details are not sent to it).

Our pages load a script from Stay22 that turns links to hotel booking sites into affiliate links, so we can earn a commission if you book. Stay22 may set cookies to attribute bookings; see its own privacy policy.

Embedded content

Embedded content from YouTube, TikTok and Instagram may set their own cookies once played. Embeds load only after you click play, and YouTube embeds use its privacy-enhanced mode.

Email

We only send the newsletter after you confirm your address. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link that works in one click.

Your California rights

If you live in California, you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of any sale or sharing for cross-context advertising. We don't sell personal information. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. Email privacy@napa.guide and we'll respond within 45 days.

How long we keep it

Event requests are kept for up to 24 months so we can report outcomes to partners; newsletter records until you unsubscribe plus 30 days.
